GATA was founded in August, 1990 when it originally stood for German American Trade Associates, which focused on export management & consulting to local manufacturing companies exporting specifically to the German-speaking world of Germany, Austria, & Switzerland. GATA's competitive advantage then was German-speaking ability & experience in the German-speaking world.
